Comprehensive Mental Health Services Covered by Insurance and Government Programs

Anxiety disorders are a cluster of mental disorders characterized by significant and uncontrollable feelings of anxiety and fear.

At MBOX HEALTH a Medi Oasis Health Services Company, we are dedicated to providing accessible, high-quality mental health care to our community. We understand the importance of receiving the right support, which is why we’ve partnered with a variety of insurance providers and government programs to ensure our services are available to everyone who needs them.

Insurance Coverage

We proudly accept a wide range of insurance plans, making it easier for you to access the mental health services you need:

  • HUSKY Health (Connecticut Medicaid): Our services are covered under the HUSKY Health program, which includes Medicaid and the Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP). This ensures that eligible individuals and families in Connecticut can receive the care they need without financial burden.
  • Private Insurance Plans: We are in-network with major insurance providers such as Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield, Aetna, Cigna, and UnitedHealthcare. This means you can access our services with minimal out-of-pocket costs. Please check with your insurance provider or contact us to confirm your coverage.
  • Medicare: For those eligible for Medicare, we offer services covered under this program, ensuring that older adults and individuals with certain disabilities can receive comprehensive mental health care.

Our Services

We offer a wide range of mental health services tailored to meet the unique needs of our clients:

  • Outpatient Therapy: We provide individual, group, and family therapy to address issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance abuse.
  • Telehealth Services: Access therapy from the comfort of your home with our secure, HIPAA-compliant telehealth services. This option is ideal for clients who prefer remote sessions or have difficulty attending in-person appointments.
  • Specialized Programs: We offer specialized therapy programs for children and adolescents, veterans, and individuals with severe mental health conditions.
  • Crisis Intervention: Our emergency services include crisis intervention and 24/7 hotline support for those in immediate need.

Government Contracts

We also work with state and federal programs to provide mental health services to underserved communities:

  • State Contracts: We partner with Connecticut’s public health agencies and community health centers to deliver services funded by state contracts, ensuring that everyone, regardless of financial status, has access to mental health care.
  • Federal Grants: Our practice is involved in federally funded mental health initiatives, which allow us to offer specialized services through grants provided by agencies like the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA).

Types of Anxiety Disorders

There are several types of anxiety disorders:
Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD)

Generalized Anxiety Disorder (GAD) is a mental health condition characterized by persistent and excessive worry about various aspects of daily life, such as work, health, social interactions, or routine matters. This anxiety is often difficult to control and can interfere with daily activities. People with GAD may experience symptoms such as restlessness, fatigue, difficulty concentrating, irritability, muscle tension, and sleep disturbances. The worry and anxiety are disproportionate to the actual likelihood or impact of the feared events, leading to significant distress and impairment in social, occupational, or other important areas of functioning.

Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) is a mental health condition characterized by persistent, unwanted thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive behaviors or mental acts (compulsions) that an individual feels driven to perform. These obsessions and compulsions can interfere significantly with daily functioning, causing distress and anxiety.

Social Anxiety Disorder

Social Anxiety Disorder (SAD) is a mental health condition characterized by an intense fear of social situations and being judged or scrutinized by others. This anxiety can lead to avoidance of social interactions and significant distress, impacting daily activities, relationships, and overall quality of life.

Phobias
Phobias are intense, irrational fears of specific objects, situations, or activities that lead to avoidance and significant distress. These fears are often disproportionate to the actual danger posed and can interfere with daily functioning.

Get better with psychotherapy

Depending on the nature of your problem psychotherapy can be an ideal choice for addressing your concerns and making positive changes in your life.
